I’m in complete agreement with this article. I have a couple of questions though. What happened with the $787 billion package which was suppose to upgrade our infrastructure in the first place? Also, in regards to the article, will these jobs go to foreign companies? Note how the author said that 600,000 jobs were created, but only 62,000 in America, that’s roughly a ratio of 9 foreign workers to 1 in at home. That is NOT a proper stimulus.
This happens to be Point 9 of the things I would do if I were a dictator. Point 7 would make me a budding protectionist, I understand that, but in order to avoid squandering our stimulus funds (here’s another example), I think some sort of protectionism is needed.
Eventually we will get a grand package to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure and unleash a wave of job creation, a modern day New Deal.
